Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Freelance Content Writer to join our team on a project basis. As a freelance writer, you will collaborate with our content team to produce high-quality written content that engages our target audience and aligns with our brand voice and objectives. From blog posts and articles to website copy and marketing materials, you will have the opportunity to showcase your writing skills across a variety of formats and topics.

Responsibilities:

  1. Research, brainstorm, and develop original content ideas that resonate with our target audience and address their needs and interests.
  2. Write clear, concise, and compelling copy for various channels and platforms, including blog posts, articles, website copy, social media posts, email newsletters, and more.
  3. Adhere to brand guidelines, style guides, and SEO best practices to ensure consistency, relevance, and discoverability of content.
  4. Conduct thorough research on relevant topics, industries, and trends to ensure accuracy, credibility, and depth of content.
  5. Collaborate with other team members, including editors, designers, and marketers, to plan, coordinate, and execute content strategies and campaigns.
  6. Revise and edit content based on feedback from editors, stakeholders, and clients to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.
  7. Meet deadlines and deliver content assignments promptly, while managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, content marketing best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve writing skills and content quality.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a content writer, preferably with a portfolio showcasing a diverse range of writing samples across different formats and industries.
  2. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
  3. Ability to adapt writing style and tone to suit different audiences, brands, and content formats.
  4. Strong research skills and the ability to gather and analyze information from multiple sources to develop comprehensive and insightful content.
  5. Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and content optimization.
  6. Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and collaboration tools, as well as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
  7. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively with team members.
  8. Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
